When I look back at my childhood, one of the first things that pops into my head is sports, specifically the Eagles’ 2017 season where they went on to win the Super Bowl. I remember watching all those games with my dad, either jumping up for joy if they scored or yelling at the TV if they messed up.
I remember watching the Eagles’ first playoff game that season where they played the Atlanta Falcons. The game came down to a 4th and goal, and the Eagles were on defense. My dad and I held hands, kneeled in front of the TV, and hoped for the best.
I remember the joy I felt when the Eagles won that game, jumping up and down with tears of joy streaming down my face. I remember hugging my dad and knowing that I would remember not just the game, but the moment forever.
I believe that sports are something truly valuable and are more than just a “game.” Sports can create new bonds and strengthen connections with friends or family. The way people who are not connected at all but share a common love for a sports team can go on to become friends or just be able to connect with them through the game.
Since the involvement of streaming services and widespread broadcasts, sports are able to be watched by people all over the world. In 2023, nearly 70% of Americans watched live sports. Sports are a form of entertainment for people to enjoy and bond over.

The fact of the matter is that it’s opinion and experience-based. For me, I have had positive experiences with my family and friends that are surrounded by sports, and learned that is more valuable than just the sport itself.
The sport is what brings us together and strengthens the bond. But, for someone who hasn’t been connected to sports in that manner or who might have negative experiences connected to sports, then they might have a different outlook on it.
Sports has strengthened my existing connections and has also created new ones. I will always keep watching sports, with the ones I care about, as something very dear to me. I think that everyone should be open to experiencing it, and I believe that people shouldn’t judge those who take sports seriously because they might have a personal connection with it. That is why it is personal, because it is more than just a “game.”

I agree with this article, and I can relate well, during the 2017 Superbowl I was also watching with my dad and the rest of my family, and the excitement of it brought all of us together. Even today I always watch the games with my dad whether it’s the Eagles sixers phillies etc. Sports have played a huge role in my life I run track and I’ve built strong bonds with the people on my track team, especially with the people on the relay team that feeling when we set a new pr or school record is amazing especially because we did it together. I can understand why people take sports so seriously and why it’s more than just a game to most people

Sports can definitely bring people together, not just by watching them but by playing them too. When I first started swim at my old school, I was surrounded by all sorts of people I would have never normally talked to. Suffering through drills, celebrating shaved time, and hyping each other up created some really great relationships that you just don’t find anywhere else. There is something really special about pushing through and practicing a sport with a team!! There of course is also watching sports like you said. Humans are hard wired for a sense of community, and sports teams are a perfect and ancient example of it. It brings people together, from all different backgrounds, and puts them under one common goal– to see your team win! And even when your team loses, there is a really great bond that happens when you get to complain too. No matter what, it’s a really lovely sense of community and fun.

I agree with this article. During the 2017 Superbowl I was watching it with my family and I’m a big Tom Brady fan so I wanted him to win but seeing the excitement of my dad made the moment better. I would remember the times my dad would take my brother and I to Eagles’ practices which made me love the game so much. Even today every Sunday during the season my family watches football so it really brings our family together. Also the other side of sports which is playing it. I played basketball for about 7 years of my life I got to meet some of my closest friends and go through ups and downs with them on the court. Playing sports is definitely something I can do if I’m bored or even to just relax my brain it helps me a lot.

I agree with this article. Sports are more than just a “game” they create lasting bonds and memories. I’ve danced since I was little and I have made so many lifelong friendships and memories through it. Even though I was young during the 2017 super bowl I remember hearing all about it after the fact and how happy people were. There are many joys that come with sports and its way past then just the game. I have also played tennis since I was young and every time I won a match I always remember that big smile that was on my face because I was so happy and proud of what I had accomplished. .

I agree with this article. My family have always been major sports fans. We frequently watch the NFL together, especially on major game days. In recent years, there has been much celebration. First when the eagles won the superbowl in 2017, my family was having a watch party with every family member in Philadelphia. And more recently, when the Buccaneers won the superbowl in 2021. My father’s side has always been fans of the Buccaneers, as he lived in Florida for most of his life, so I was raised to root for them just as much as the Eagles. Although I couldn’t celebrate with my friends, it was a great way to connect with my dad and my relatives that still live in Florida.

I agree with this article. My childhood has always been remembered for sports moments and what it feels like to win. I remember the positivity on and off the basketball court between players and coaches. Sports shapes who I am and getting more active shows that you are growing throughout your athletic or nonathletic life. Sports can be a life lesson not just a lesson on the court. I love many sports and would love to try many different sports. I love basketball for the winning and fun not just the game. I also believe people shouldn’t judge those who take sports seriously because everyone loves a sport differently than others. I could mean more to different people.

I agree with this article. I also remember the 2017 Superbowl, though I think I fell asleep before it was over. I remember the joy that was shared throughout my school the next day when the Eagles had won, and I remember people thanking Carson Wentz. Though I wasn’t that bog on sports in my family I used to do gymnastics. I think that made me happy and celebrating with family when I got a high score was always nice. It also opened up doors to new friends, though we don’t talk anymore. I think a big thing that broke our connections was covid. During covid, a lot of my friends stopped doing gymnastics. Even though I don’t talk with those people anymore, Gymnastics was a nice sport to do while growing up.

It is not hard to see that his family is full of sports sprite and it really influenced him. as for me. I also hope my family could be more interested in sports because some exercise really could improve peoples attitude to life. usually, I swim and join the swimming team. after they lay training, though I am tired, but I still feel happy and have a positive attitude to my study life. That’s why I hope my family could pay more attention to the sports. We have the tradition to take a walk after dinner in China. It is safe and happy. I love that kind of atmosphere, but taking a walk as to not a formal sports. I hope all of our family members could find their dream sports .as for my mother he might play ping-pong. My father likes to run. as for I and my sister, we all love to play tennis sports improve peoples life. That’s totally true.

This article clearly explains this person’s passion and love for sports. I also share this feeling when it comes to sports, and I love the feeling when the score is up and the performance is excellent. Sports is very important, as said in the article it can strengthen or create many wonderful bonds between family and friends. The feeling of watching the game or playing in one with the people that you love and care about is a feeling that everyone should experience. Sports is more than just a game and can open many doors in life for people all across the world. For me, sports have always been on top of my list in life. I enjoy doing sports and watching them; the different connections that it has given me make me grateful. I love sports and have a lot of heart poured into it.

I agree with the perspective of this article. Sports do strengthen the bonds between family and friends. During the spring through fall, my family and I have started playing badminton outside. We use sticks to make an outline of the court in the spring and summer, and in the fall we rake outlines using leaves. We tried to play together at least once a day, and we do mostly. It is always a friendly competition between us, and I find that it is also more than just a game, we laugh and make jokes while we play, and it brings us together more as well. Now it is something that we are always looking forward to when coming home from school, or a long day at work.

I agree that sports, like many other forms of entertainment, can form bonds and memories. I am not someone who watches sports much, but I do sometimes. I remember last year’s SuperBowl where me and my friends were on a call watching together and one of my friends was a diehard Eagles fan and was raging after the Chiefs won. Another time was during the 2017 SuperBowl when the Eagles won, I did not watch sports back then but my mom did. She already bought me a Eagles jersey even though I barely wore it. After the SuperBowl, she took me out while people were celebrating the win
